This song began with an experience of powerlessness: the shock of having access to a passport restricted, the practical damage that followed, and the frustration of trying to be heard by institutions that seemed unable or unwilling to understand the seriousness of it. A passport is more than a booklet. It represents movement, identity, work, family, opportunity and the ability to choose where your life goes next. When somebody interferes with that access, the loss is not only emotional. There can be cancelled journeys, missed income, legal expenses, accommodation costs, disrupted plans and months or years spent trying to recover a sense of safety. “Criminal AIG” turns that pressure into sound. I Was Not Confused I think I need to tell this story properly once. Not politely. Not in legal language.
